½ c. shortening
½ c. crunchy peanut butter
1 c. white sugar
½ c. brown sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
½ t. vanilla

1 ½ c. Flour
½ t. Baking Soda
½ t. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and peanut butter.
Add vanilla.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Gradually stir or beat in dry ingredients.
Chill mixture for an hour or more.

Shape into balls. Place on non-greased cookie sheet. Flatten by cross-hatching with fork dipped in sugar.

Bake in preheated oven, 10 minutes at 350º. Remove from sheet and cool on rack.
