2 c. flour
2 t. b. p.
1 t. salt
1 c. chopped dates
1 cup sugar
1/2 c. whiskey
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. sliced, drained dried marachino cherries
1 c. chocaolate chips
4 eggs beaten


Directions:
Directions:
Mix 1st 3 ingredients. Add nuts, fruit, bits. Mix lightly. Beat eggs, sugar. Stir into other ingredients. Grease loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven 325 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes.
Cool on rack in pan for 10 minutes. While warm pour 1/2 cup whiskey over bread. Store tighly covered. Freezes well.

Try to mkae this a few weeks before Christmas. Flavors blend when covered and left for a week or two before using.
