1 c. Crisco
1 c. Brown Sugar
1 c. White Sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
1 tsp. Vanilla
1½ c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
3 c. Oatmeal
½ c. Chopped nut meats

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together Crisco, and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well then add flour, baking soda and salt that has been sifted together. Add oatmeal and nuts. Mix well.
Chill dough before pressing out on lightly greased sheets. Use small balls and press to about the size of a silver dollar, very flat. Allow space for some spreading. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes. Wait about 30 to 40 seconds before running knife under to remove from pan. If your pan gets too cool you may have to reheat a little. Cool cookies on brown paper bag.
