1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1½ cups butter
2 eggs, slightly beaten
4 cups flour
1½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ cup nuts (optional)

Mix in order given. Roll dough in long tubes, will yield three or four. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate overnight. Cut into thin slices. Bake 5-7 minutes in 350º oven.

This cookie is favored at Christmas by both Beth and Bryan. It yields a lot of cookies so I usually do not have to double the recipe in order to have enough for both of them.
