3/4 c shortening, part butter
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, butter and sugar.
Add eggs, mix well.
Mix in flavoring.
Slowly add dry ingredients, mix completely.

Chill at least 1-2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350º
Roll on floured surface, cut into designs.
Place on greased cookie sheets, bake 10-12 minutes.
Allow to partially cool before removing to wire racks to finish cooling.
Can be frosted and decorated when cool.
