9 oz buttter
7 oz sugar (1 cup)
9 oz flour (2 cups)
2 egg yolks
whipped cream 1/2 pint
apple sauce (thick)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, then add flour and knead with fingers. Bake in 400º oven 15 to 20 minutes. All to cool, then remove from tins. Spread applesauce between layers. All to stand 7 hours or overnight. Cover with whipped cream.
