2 cubes butter (Use a really good quality butter.)
2 cups flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Directions:

Cut butter into flour and sugar like pie crust. Then kneed it together gently. Press into a pan. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown. (I bake it at a slightly lower temperature.) Cut into 1" x 2 " cookies while warm. Do not take from the pan until cooled.

Mabel Adams was my father's first cousin. This recipe was her mother in law's who came to Spokane from Scotland on the maiden voyage of the first "Queen Mary".
