"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Personal Notes:
Charlotte and "Hey" (Heyward) didn't have many friends, but those they had loved to get together. For them, that typically meant meeting in one another's homes. The Farren's and Kelly's, in particular, loved to come over for a drink, and often stayed for dinner. This Sloppy Joe recipe was a favorite of theirs.

Gail remembers that one night, Marjorie (Farren), well into "her cups", went on and on, saying Charlotte should start a business making Sloppy Joe's BBQ to sell and that she'd make a bundle. Marjorie, of course, wanted to handle the business side of it so she could track the profits!
