3 cups flour (all purpose)
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening or lard
1/2 cup water (cold)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four dry ingredients with fork. Then cut shortening into flour mixture until it sticks together. Add cold water and blend with fork.
Divide into thirds. When you are ready to roll out make it into a ball first.
