6 c. Milk
1 c. Sugar
1½ T. Salt
2-3 pkgs. Dry yeast
3/4 lb. Butter or Margarine
4 Eggs
2 lbs. Candied Fruit
1 lb. Raisins
2 c. Chopped Nuts
5 lbs. Flour

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan, scald milk. Add butter, salt and all but 2 T of the sugar to the scalded milk then let cool till warm.
Start the yeast by mixing it with the reserved 2 T of sugar and 105° water.
In a large bowl, combine the candied fruit, raisins and chopped nuts with 2 cups of the flour.
In another larger bowl, combine the cooled milk mixture, eggs and yeast mixture.
Gradually add in the remaining flour till the dough gets thick and sticky.
Add fruit mixture to the dough.
Turn mixture out onto a floured surface and continue kneading in flour till dough is smooth and elastic.
Cover and let dough rise in a warm place till doubled in size.
Punch it down and divide into approximately 8 loaves.
Let loaves rise till doubled.
Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until done.
