1 ¾ cup sugar
½ cup shorting
3 rounding tablespoons of cocoa

2 eggs - stir in separately
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together
sugar
shorting
cocoa
Stir eggs in separately.

Sift together flour, and baking soda and mix alternately with vanilla and water.

Bake in a 9x13 cake pan at 350º for 30-32 minutes.
