1 pkg. active dry yeast
¼ cup warm water
1 cup creamed cottage cheese - heated to lukewarm
2 T. sugar
1 T. dried, minced onion
1 T. softened butter
2 teas. dill seed
1 teas. salt
¼ teas. baking soda
1 egg - unbeaten
2¼ to 2½ cups flour

* Preheat oven to 350º
* Grease 2 bread pans
* Place yeast in warm water
* Combine cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, baking soda, egg and softened yeast in a large mixing bowl
* Add flour a little @ a time until a stiff dough is formed
* Cover & let rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size (approx. 1 hour)
* Punch the dough down - divide in ½ and turn into well-greased bread pans
* Let rise again until doubled in size (approx. 30-40 minutes)
* Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown
* Brush with butter & sprinkle with coarse salt
