2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup shortening
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
Cream together and add dry ingredients.
7 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Roll out to about 3/8 inch thick and cut into shapes or circles for filling. Put filling in between 2 circles and crimp edges. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes. Frost shapes. (hearts, bunnies, ect.)

Cook 1 cup (slightly rounded) raisins in 2 cups water for 30 minutes. In the olden days fruit wasn't very plentiful but they always had raisins. My Dad's mother was famous for making these quite often.
