½ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. cream of tartar
½ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars, butter, egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix. It is easiest to prepare the cookie balls if the dough has been refrigerated for 30 minutes first.
Take a walnut size piece of dough and roll into a ball. Roll the ball in sugar and place on cookie sheet. Press the center of the ball with a fork. Bake 7-10 minutes at 375º.
