6 egg whites
1 tsp vinegar
¾ c white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Whipping cream
Sliced fruit

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 250F. Beat egg whites and vinegar until frothy. Beat in sugar gradually until stiff and glossy. Add vanilla. Line a 9 inch round layer pan with waxed paper, which has been dampened with water. Pour in egg white mixture, pulling up slightly around the edges. Bake 1 hour until meringue is a rich cream color and firm, but not hard. Remove from pan when cool. Place on a serving dish and cover thickly with whipped cream and sliced pineapple or other fruits.
