Base: 1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup flour
1 tbsp sugar

Filling: 3 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp flour
1/2 cup milk
2 1/2 cups chopped rhubarb (fresh or frozen)

Meringue: 3 egg whites
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend ingredients for base. Press into 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes. Blend filling ingredients and pour over base. Bake 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread on meringue. Bake until browned, about 15 minutes but watch carefully.

Double ingredients for a 9 x 13 inch pan.
