1½ TBSP cornstarch
⅓ c. brown sugar
½ c. cold water
4 c. sweetened sliced peaches
1 TBSP butter
1 TBSP lemon juice

Biscuit Topper:
1 c. flour
1 TBSP sugar
1½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
¼ c. butter
¼ c. milk
1 slightly beaten egg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients, add peaches. Cooke an stir until thickened. Add butter and lemon juice. Pour into 8 inch round baking dish.
Sift together dry biscuit ingredients. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs. Mix together milk and egg. Add all at once to dry ingredients stirring just until moist. Drop by spoonfuls on hot fruit. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400º for 20 minutes or until topper is done.

In 1990, Grandma Dorothy gave this recipe to me at the bridal shower she hosted on Riverside Drive in Fort Atkinson. Her and grandpa also hosted our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding at The Spring Green Restaurant and had peach cobbler served for dessert.
