Directions:
Trim excess fat off meat. Mix all red sauces and ketchup and brown sugar together. Place half of this on the bottom of a baking pan big enough to hold the meat. Add half of the onion slices. Put meat on this. Place the rest of the sauce mix on top of the meat and then the rest of the onions. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 2 hours at 350 º
Take meat out of oven and slice it against the grain. Return the sliced meat to the pan and spoon juices and onions over it. Recover tightly with the foil and bake another hour.
This dish freezes well , but there is rarely any left over as it is a delicious crowd pleaser with the meat and potatoes guys.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This dish was introduced to me by my mother-in-law, Gertrude Sandgrund. She wasn't a great cook , but this was the one dish that made up for all of her over cooked vegetables . It is a dish that invites over cooking . Every meat eater in the family loves it and it is a required item on the menu for the Jewish holidays.
