1 cup flour

3/4 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cup corn meal

2 eggs

1 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk

3 Tab. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Combine well-beaten eggs, sour milk and melted shortening. (To get sour milk, just add 1 T. of vinegar to the milk before you add it to your recipe.) Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring only until smooth. Put in well greased pan. Bake at 425º for 25-30 minutes.
