4 cups cooked elbow macaroni (1 Lb of dry macaroni)
1 Lb. Hamburger
1/4 cup diced onion
1 Qt Tomato juice (may add whole tomatoes, broken up with wooden spoon)
1 Tsp salt
1/2 Tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain.
Add macaroni to greased 2 1/2 qt. casserole dish.
Brown meat and onions until meat is cooked through and onions are translucent.
Add meat mixture to macaroni and stir to mix well.
Add the tomato juice and or tomatoes.
Add salt, pepper, and sugar, and mix well.
Bake covered in oven for 1 hour.

I remember Grandma using 80% lean hamburger and Campbells tomato juice.
In later years, Grandma also used V-8 juice instead of Tomato Juice. I then morphed that into Spicy Hot V-8, to add a little kick to it!
