Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup oil
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda

Cookies:
Mix ingredients in order by hand. Chill. Roll into balls, roll in sugar and flatten with a glass not real flat, on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 5 to 7 minutes until just golden. I tried the 400 to 425 oven for these and it worked like a champ. Just 4-5 minutes.
I have learned you can freeze these after flattening and pull out and bake.
