CAKE:
2 eggs
1 c sugar
1 c sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 T butter
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla

FROSTING:
5 T butter
2 T cream
6 T brown sugar
1 c coconut

BETTY'S VERSION:
Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
2/3 c coconut
1/2 c brown sugar1/8 lb softened butter
1/4 c ground nuts
1 T cream

CAKE:
Beat eggs, add sugar gradually, add flour, baking powder and salt. Melt butter with milk and bring to a boil. Combine mixture to flour and mix well. Add vanilla. Bake in moderate oven for 25 or 30 minutes.

FROSTING:
Boil butter, cream and brown sugar for one minute. Put 1 c of coconut on top of cake and pour hoot frosting on hoot cake and put into oven to brown a little.

BETTY'S VERSION:
Make Duncan Hines yellow cake. Sprinkle with sugar. Put butter on dots over top. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and nuts on top.
