Personal Notes:
My Grandma, Bertha Johnson and my mama, Dorothy Murray would make this cake every Christmas. This was my dad, Nathaniel Murray favorite cake.

Me and my siblings couldn’t wait for Christmas Day to eat all the cakes and pies my mom would bake. There were always a three layers coconut cake, three layer chocolate cake, three layer yellow and chocolate frosting cake, three layer yellow and lemon cake, lemon meringue pies, chocolate meringue pies and sweet potatoes pies.
