1/2 cup Butter

1 pint Heavy Cream

Salt & Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up pheasant and shake in bag with flour, salt and pepper.
In a large heavy roaster melt butter. Slowly brown all the pheasant on all sides.
Add more butter if necessary.
Cover and bake for 2 hours at 300 degrees.
Take out of oven and cool.
Slowly add the cream to the pheasant.
Cover and put the pan in the oven for about one more hour.

Grandpa Miller belonged to a pheasant hunting club in Napa CA.
He used to take Poppy and Uncle Paul hunting.
Because the birds were farmed, we were usually guaranteed a dinner!
Your Great Great Grandmother Webster was the only one who knew how to prepare this wild game.
I was a little leary at first but learned to love Grandma's Creamed Pheasant.
