My most vibrant memory of my paternal grandparents involves soup. Grandma Pravlik always had a pot of this soup on the stove when we visited; along with a wide array of other edibles. But everyone had a bowl of soup! All conversation and visiting went on in the small but efficient kitchen at Grandma's house. I don't even remember the living room! My father continued the tradition, by making a ritual of Sunday soup and fried chicken every weekend when I was growing up.

It is one of my strongest and fondest memories. I hope my version here does both my grandma and my dad justice.
