Ingredients:  
1/2 cups + 6 tablespoons softened butter (room temp)
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar (I use light brown sugar)
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups oatmeal (uncooked or quick)
1 cup raisins

Preheat oven 350 degrees

Large Bowl: Butter, sugar; mix on medium speed until creamy; add eggs and vanilla; beat well; add flour and dry ingredients; then add oats & raisins and mix by hand

Drop dough on ungreased cookie sheet - bake 8 to 10 minutes.
