10-14 apples, peeled and sliced (or enough to fill your baking dish, heaping Can use whatever apples you prefer. I like Courtland's for this)
Cinnamon
Sugar
Butter

Crisp:
1 Cup sugar
3 T butter
1 egg
1 Cup flour
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Put a few pads of butter in the bottom of your baking dish. (I use a glass 9x13)
In a bowl toss your apples with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
Place apples in baking dish.

To make Crisp:
Cream sugar, butter and egg. Add flour and baking powder, Mix well.

Sprinkle Crisp mixture on top of apples. Bake at 350º for 40-50 minutes (or until crisp is golden)

An addition made to this original recipe was to double the crisp. Makes for an even yummier treat!!! Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
