1 box yellow cake mix
¼ cup light brown sugar
¾ cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
Approximately 1 cup gumdrops

Directions:
Coarse cut the gumdrops
Beat with mixer the eggs, sugar, shortening, vanilla and ½ of the cake mix
Beat in remaining cake mix
Fold in the gumdrops
Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray
Drop heaping teaspoons of dough onto cookie sheet 2" apart
Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes

These are not everyone's cup of tea, but they were always one of my favorites. I'd recommend tasting the gumdrops before adding them. The clear are usually a fairly offensive mint flavor; I remove those. The purple can be licorice or some sort of grape flavor.
