1 ½ lb (6 sticks) butter
3 c. brown sugar, packed
3 c. all-purpose flour
6 c. oatmeal, regular or quick cooking
1tbsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl cream butter and sugar.
Add flour, oatmeal and baking soda knead together by hand or with large mixer.
Roll into 1 inch – 1 ½ inch bowls. Space 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. With a class or jar, the bottom of which has been buttered and dipped in sugar, mash batter balls flat. Before pressing each ball, dip glass again in butter. (The glass will remain sufficiently greased from the butter.)

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until
browned. Let cool slightly before removing from the sheet. Cool on rack.

Definitely a lo-cal recipe.
