1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg, well beaten
1¼ c. granulated sugar
½ c. shortening or 1 cube margarine, melted
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar, shortening (or margarine); add egg, mix well. Stir together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, blend well. Add pulp, raisins and nuts, mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and bake at 375º for 15 min. or until done.
