1 3/4 cup AP flour
1 tsp. baking soda
14 TBSP butter, unsalted
1egg and 1 egg yolk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1//2 cup sugar
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cup nuts (toasted), chopped
1 1/2 cups chips

Heat oven to 375º

Mix flour and baking soda together with a whisk.

Brown 10 TBSP of butter. To brown heat in a regular skillet or pot on med-high for about 3 minutes until it turns light brown or takes on a nutty smell.
Pour browned butter into a heat proof bowl and add the other 4 TBSP. of butter and mix until melted.
Add both sugars, salt and vanilla and mix well. Add both eggs and whisk for 30 seconds and then allow mixture to rest for 3 minutes. Repeat this twice.
Add flour mixture and use a spatula to mix until blended.
Add chips and nuts.
Bake for 10-14 minutes.
Cool on cooling rack.
