3 cups sugar
½ cup Crisco
2 sticks butter (softened/melted0
5 eggs
3 cups plain flour
1 cup milk
⅔ tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the sugar, Crisco, and softened butter together until smooth. Then add the remaining ingredients one at a time and mix well. Batter must be smooth with no lumps. Grease angle food baking pan and pour batter into the pan. Bake at 325º for 1½ hours. Check with a toothpick until it comes out clean before you take it out of the oven.
