3/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cups chopped nuts
1/4 cup stewed raisins
1 cup quick cooking oatmeal
1 1/4 cups (ready to eat) cereal

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with peanut butter, add brown sugar and cream thoroughly. Add beaten eggs, beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add alternately to the creamed mixture with the milk. Stir in chopped nuts, raisins, oatmeal and cereal. Drop by spoonful's on greased cookie sheet and bake 12 minutes in moderate oven 350º
