¼ cup sugar
1 Stick unsalted butter melted
¼cup milk
2 ½ tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. anise extract
2 large eggs
2¾ cups flour
¼ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325ºF, coat baking sheets with nonstick spray.
Beat sugar, melted butter, eggs, milk and extract with mixer
until blended, add flour baking powder and salt, mix until blended.
Drop rounded measuring teaspoons of dough 2 in. apart onto the
prepared baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until bottoms are light golden.
Remove cookies to a wire rack to cool.

Glaze:
1 cup confectioners sugar
4 - 5 drops milk
1 tsp anise extract

Whisk together in a small bowl until smooth.
Dip tops of cookies in glaze and while wet, sprinkle with nonpareils.
Let set, store in airtight container at room temperature.
