1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
½ tsp salt
4¾- 5¼ cups flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar , egg & vanilla. Mix sour cream with soda. Add combined dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Keep dough soft; don't over work. Chill.
Roll as thin as desired; cut into shapes. Sprinkle with sugar & bake at 350-375º for about 10 minutes.
