2¼ cup flour
1 cup (16 tbsp) Crisco/shortening
¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp water or orange juice
1 9-10 oz bag chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare 3 cookie sheets with foil, parchment paper or silicone mats.

Cream sugars in shortening. Add eggs, baking soda, vanilla, salt and water. Gradually add flour, until completely mixed and not sticky. Mix in chocolate chips.

Form into walnut sized balls. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until brown around edges.
