1 whole cut up chicken

1 cup flour

Salt and Pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 tbs poultry seasoning

˝ cup vegetable oil

1 onion cut in slices

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Soak chicken in salt water for ˝ to 1 hour. Pat dry. Put flour, poultry seasoning and salt and pepper to taste into a large plastic bag.

Place each piece of chicken in bag and shake til coated.

Heat skillet with vegetable oil. Place each piece of chicken into skillet and brown on both sides.
Remove chicken from skillet and place into a roasting dish.

Place onion in skillet once chicken is removed, sauté onion until soft. Remove from skillet and place on top of chicken in roasting pan.

Sprinkle paprika over chicken. Cook chicken in oven for 45 mins.

Remove from oven, baste chicken and place back in oven for an additional 10 mins.

To make gravy add ˝ cup of water to the juices in the roasting pan. Stir over stove top until gravy is thick.
