2 lbs. 85% hamburger (important to have 85%)
1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs (comes in a can or make your own)
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 eggs
2-3 shakes of Morton Natural Seasoning (this spice makes the meatball great)

For the sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tbsp. butter
3 shakes of Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. Louisiana Hot Sauce or Tabasco Sauce
2-3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix hamburger, bread crumbs and onion in a large bowl. Pour the milk over this mixture. Add eggs that have been beaten, one egg at a time. Add seasoning and mix all together. Form into meatballs about one inch in diameter. Place on a cookie sheet with sides that has been sprayed with Pam. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.

Sauce Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan that you can heat. Bring the mixture to a boil. Immediately, turn heat down to a simmer and keep at this level for about 20 minutes. Place baked meatballs in a crock pot in layers and put sauce on each layer as you fill the crock pot.

Nanny received this recipe from Aunt, Mo Burns, who was married to Duane's brother, Aaron. Mo was a great cook and willingly shared recipes.


Tip: Do not overwork the hamburger mixture as you get ready to make the meatballs. Just make sure the ingredients are totally combined. It is best to use your hands when mixing.
