2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour
5 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
24 ounces chocolate chips
1 8 ounce Hershey bar grated
3 cups chopped nuts

Directions:

375º

Cream butter and both sugars, add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate cups, grated chocolate and nuts.

Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes ar 375º.

DO NOT use a small mixer. This recipe can overheat a small mixer. Trust, I learned from experience.

This recipe can be halved. It’s a great recipe if you need a large amount of cookies.
