Fry 1# ground beef until brown

Add 1/4 c. olive oil, lots of fresh chopped garlic, 1/2 an onion chopped fine.

When meat is gray (yes - this is how she wrote the recipe), add 1 6oz. can tomato paste (she always used Contadina brand), 2 cans of water (swish out the rest of the tomato paste that is left in the can), salt and allspice.

Personal Notes:
Simmer on low for a long time. I always used several cloves of fresh garlic (at least 4+) and started with at least a Tbsp + of allspice - taste as it cooks and add more allspice/granualted garlic if needed (you will definitely need more allspice)

Eventually, you will get the 'feel' of how much of everything you need.
