1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
5 eggs
4 c. flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. anise flavoring
Frosting
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. cream or milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add flavoring then eggs one at a time and beat well. Add dry ingredients until dough is thick. Roll out on a floured board to desires shapes such as golf ball or rope shape about 2 inchs long. Bake at 350 for 7 to 10 minutes but do not brown them. Drizzle frosting over cooled cookies.
