(Mix 1)
1 1/4 c sugar
2 T flour
1/4 tsp salt

(Mix 2)
3 c milk
8 egg yolks

(Mix 3)
1 T vanilla
1 lrg Pet milk
1 can Eagle Brand
1 qt cream

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together Mix 1 in pan
Add in Mix 2, cook until thickened

Remove from heat and add in Mix 3, plus milk as needed
Chill

Put in ice cream maker, voila!

This is the ice cream we used to always make on Grandma's back porch, in the ice cream maker that took rock salt.

Pet milk is canned milk, in California is it called Carnation canned milk.
