2 c shortening
4 c flour
5 egg yolks
enough beer to make dough soft
apricot preserves
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 2 c shortening and 2 c flour. Form a ball, cover and refrigerate overnight.

Combine 2 c flour, 5 egg yolks, and enough beer to make dough soft. Beat with a spoon (not mixer) until bubbling with air.

Combine mixtures, keep dough very cold. Roll very thin on floured pastry cloth.

Cut in squares, place a small dab of apricot preserves in center. Fold over and make crescent shaped.

Bake approx 15 minutes at 375º. Check for doneness when edges are just lightly browned. Dip in powdered sugar.
