2 egg white
⅛ tsp cream of tartar or cider vinegar
⅛ tsp salt
⅓ cup white sugar
3 peppermint candy canes, crushed.

Directions:
Directions:
In large glass or metal bowl whip egg whites, vinegar & salt to soft peaks.
Gradually add sugar, while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes.
Fold in 1/3 of the crushed candy cakes.
Drop by heaping spoons onto parchment lined baking sheets.
Sprinkle remaining crushed candy canes over top.
Bake in 225º oven for about 90 minutes, or until dry.
Cool completely on baking sheets.
