Single Batch

1¾ cups flour
½ tsp. salt
½ cup peanut butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
½ cup shortening
½ cup sugar
1 unbeaten egg


Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together. Cream shortening, peanut butter, sugars and blend in egg & vanilla. Shape by rounded teaspoonful into balls. Roll in sugar, place on baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven – top each with a sold milk chocolate candy kiss. Bake 2-5 minutes longer.
