Sift together:
4 ½ cups Flour
½ tsp. Salt (optional)
1 tsp. Baking Soda

Cream together:

1 ½ cups Sugar
1 cup shortening (margarine)
1 tsp. Vanilla
½ tsp. Almond
3 medium Eggs



Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients slowly into creamed mixture.

Separate into 3 balls, wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Icing:
Cream ½ stick softened margarine with 4 cups powdered sugar.
Add a little milk (¼ cup) and beat adding more powdered sugar and/or milk to get desired consistency.
