⅔ c. Crisco™ shortening
1½ c. packed light brown sugar
1 T. water
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1½ c. all-purpose flour
⅓ c. unsweetened baking cocoa
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. baking soda
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Combine Crisco™, sugar, water and extract in large bowl. Beat at med. speed until blended. Beat in eggs. Add flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Beat into mixture at low speed. Stir in chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 7-9 min. or until cookies are set (soft & moist looking). Let cool on wire racks.
