2 Sticks Margarine
1 C. Sugar
6 eggs (3 whole & 3 yolks)
⅔ C. Evaporated Milk (Small Can)
4½ C. Flour
4 tsp. Baking Powder
2 tsp. Vanilla
¾ C. Chopped Nuts
½ or ¾ C. Maraschino Cherries, Cut Fine

Frosting:
½ Stick of Margarine
2 C. Confectionery Sugar
1 Cap Lemon Flavoring
Add a little water as needed

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, sugar and eggs. Add evaporated milk and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour, baking powder. Add nuts and cherries last. Shape into 4 logs. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes.

Frosting:
Combine melted shortening with confectionery sugar, lemon flavoring with a little water for desired consistency. Frost loaves while warm.
Cut at an angle when cooled.
