5 lb bag of flour
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ quarts whole milk
1 tsp salt
1 cake yeast
4 large eggs
½ pound butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat milk and butter slowly in a saucepan--just to warm; do not boil
2. Dissolve yeast in cup of warm tap water (not too hot, hot water will kill the yeast)
3. Mix all dry ingredients.
4. Slowly add milk/butter mixture and yeast mixture to dry ingredients, kneading with your hands
5. Add flour to get the desired consistency
6. Cover with a towel and allow bread to rise (depending on room temperature 2-3 hours)
7. Punch down and knead again. Cover and allow to rise again. (2-3 hours)
8. Punch down and knead once more. Now shape and place in greased loaf pans.
9. Cover loaf pans and allow bread to rise (1-2 hours)
10. Bake at 350º for 20-30 minutes until tops are brown.
11. Brush with butter
