Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pkg yeast
¼ cup water
Soften yeast in warm water
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup shortening
1 tsp salt
1 cup scalded milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine above ingredients-cool to lukewarm
Add yeast, 1 egg slightly beaten & 2 cups flour
Gradually add 1½ cups more flour to make soft dough.
Cover & let rise in warm place till doubled.
At this point you can refrigerate dough for several hours to make it easier to work with.
Punch down & turn out on lightly floured surface.

Divide into 2 & roll each half into ¼ inch thick rectangles.
Spread with melted butter, sugar & cinnamon & roll up long ways.
Cut each half into 16 pieces.

Before I roll out dough I prepare 2 8x8 pans. I melt 3 Tbsp butter & sprinkle with a half cup of brown sugar, even it out a bit then add some pecans or walnuts.
Put cut pieces of dough in the pan. Cover & let rise till doubled.
Bake 375 25 minutes.
Turn out on foil. Let sit at least a minute so nuts & such fall into the rolls.
